Although porcelain is associated with being hard, transparent, pure and sterile. There is indeed hardly an object of daily use, which is so strongly related with emotions and memories such as porcelain tableware. The process of shaping the material however, is very smooth. This softness I want to preserve to oppose the assumed feeling of coldness. An everyday object that subtly stimulates sensuality, invites touch and use.

My vessels are stackable, microwave and dishwasher safe, often with a slightly thick rim, to reduce the risk of chipping.
